Gaming Hub Schedule Update: Optimising for Peak Play

Since launch, the Gaming Hub has been available 24/7, offering unlimited access to our multiplayer worlds powered by the Quark network engine. After reviewing community usage patterns and aligning with our ongoing development roadmap, we’re introducing a new schedule that better reflects when players are most active, and brings more of you online at the same time.

This change affects all users and marks a shift in how and when the Hub will be accessible.

New Access Schedule

Going forward, Gaming Hub will follow this schedule:

🟢 Online: Weekends only (Friday 4:00 PM UTC - Sunday 9:59 PM UTC)

🔴 Offline: Weekdays (Sunday 10:00 PM UTC - Friday 3:59 PM UTC)

What This Means For You

This shift means the Hub will no longer be available during the week. We recognise that some users may prefer weekday sessions but this schedule ensures a denser, more active player base during peak hours and helps create a more social, shared experience across our multiplayer environments.

Why We’re Making This Change

By focusing access around weekends, we’re able to:

• Align with when the majority of players are online
  
• Ensure fuller lobbies and more active gameplay sessions
  
• Reduce fragmentation by bringing players together at the same time
  
• Carry out maintenance and updates during off-peak periods without disrupting sessions
  
• Allocate server and development resources more effectively

The Hub Experience Remains the Same

The change is to scheduling only. The Gaming Hub itself, including Edge of Chaos, our racing demo, competitive shooter, and soon, Minecraft hyperscale world remain fully intact. All experiences remain unified through our hyperscale social lobby, powered by Quark’s high-performance multiplayer technology.

Development Continues During Offline Periods

Our team will continue work during weekday offline windows to advance key features, including:

• Metahuman avatars
  
• Single-shard experience enhancements
  
• Public and private area upgrades
  
• Deeper customisation tools for players
